My problems in a nutshell. Help please?

My friend had told the guy I like that I liked him a while ago. We were on facebook today and he told me he got a girlfriend. He knows I like him and he, my other friend, and I were going to hang out next Saturday. He asked if he could bring his new girlfriend. This is his first girlfriend and I want to be excited for him, but I just can't. His girlfriend is really pretty and kinda out of his league. I really like him but he thinks of me as just a friend. I have also been told to my face that I'm ugly and this girl who I have never met before came up to me at school and questioned my gender. I really don't know what to think of myself. Any advice?
