How do I respond to this moral contradiction?

The purpose of the test is to see what you know. If you actually know the material, what does it matter how you learned it? As long as you don't take cheat notes into test, and as long as you actually know the material and take the test from the knowledge you have acquired, I don't think its cheating at all.
